Wrong!    Wrong!    Wrong!    Wrong!

At the highest level of play, the shuttlecock is regularly clocked at in excess of 180 mph (faster than any tennis serve) in the middle of rallies. Doubles games can clock up 40 to 50 shots played within the first twenty seconds of a rally. In a more typical club-level Singles match of 3 games over 45 minutes, the player covers over a mile of running within the court, and the shuttle remains in play for 20 of those minutes, both nearly double the stats for a comparable tennis match, and in a shorter time. During this 45 minutes, the player makes at least 350 changes of direction of 90 degrees or more, and strikes the shuttle over 400 times, of which 150 or so will be full arm swings.
For instance, compare a Wimbledon Final to a Badminton World Championship:Badminton: 76 minutes, 37 minutes in play, 1,972 shots played.
Tennis: 198 minutes, 18 minutes in play, 1004 shots played. No other game requires such incredible reflexes, fitness and hand-eye coordination at the top level, but still remains an accessible and enjoyable pastime for players of all abilities.
